Would it be okay for the chickens if I have two small coops with a combined run area? It would be a good amount of space.

I just wanted to see if anyone has any examples of this kind of setup and how it worked out.

Seems feasible, depends on how big are the 2 coops and how many chickens you’re keeping.

That is what I'm doing. My original plans for an old shed rehab didn't work out, going with two large pre-fab coops with a shared run. Don't know how well it's going to work, but I think it should work just fine as long as everyone has enough room.

The chickens will likely all want to be in the same coop and on the same roost. I have 11' of roosts all the same height and I've seen 9 RIR pullets try and get on 4' of roost. Now that they are a little older they spread out a bit more.
