Today I noticed a hen with a strange looking foot. I have no idea what it is but I looks kind of like a weird scab. I took her inside and tried to mess with it. I soaked it in warm water for a little bit to soften it and poured hydrogen peroxide on it to clean it but I couldn't remove it easily so I put her back in the yard.

What is this and what should I do?
Thanks!

Oh dear... looks like Bumblefoot... Ouch.
Check out this article over here. It will help:

X2 Bumblefoot @Little Chicken Girl has given you a good link for treatment.

It looks like your girl also has some raised scales which could be a mild case of Scaly Leg Mites. When you treat her for the Bumblefoot, give the legs a good scrub and apply some oil (coconut, castor) or something like Nu Stock to the legs to help smother them.

Thank you after doing some reading I think your both right. I've never had to deal with bumblefoot until now and thought it could only occur on the palm of the feet (not true).

As far as mites go I will go ahead and do that but I'm pretty sure what made you think that is actually just dirt. I didn't fully wash her legs off. Thanks for the knowledge, hopefully everything heals nicely!
