Chicken waddling and gained weight, worried!

Ok we just gave her another warm bath, how far into the vent do we go? If we feel an egg then what? I read it’s dangerous if the egg breaks.

Ok we did that and we can’t feel anything. Its like her vent and whole underside are swollen. Her vent seems like it’s trying to push constantly.

Is she able to poop at all?

She is a little bit, I saw some in her separate cage this morning, but not much. I’m wondering if this is vent gleet? Her vent is swollen and reddish, and she has had white poop on her feathers back there...maybe that’s a discharge? Any experience in this?

The white is likely urates, if you have photos they may be helpful.

Swelling can be from a number of things - reproductive disorders, infection, fluid, etc. or even a combination of things.

We took her to the vet today. She was full of fluid, her whole abdomen. They drained the fluid and found cysts, all over. Cancer most likely. We put her down thanks for all your help. This is a wonderful community
