I'm usually on my Linux PC early in the morning and sometimes get busy and forget to open the doors before sunrise so I wrote a Python program to popup 30 minutes before sunrise and count down the time left before sunrise just so I don't forget. If I forget then the hens get antsy and start making a mess in the PDZ. After the sunrise event it gets the time for the next sunrise event.
I made a deb (an installable file) for Debian 11 and it may work on other Debian based systems like Ubuntu.

If anyone wants to use this from the deb I'd need to add a way to set your location so let me know if you need that. If you just copy the Python file wakeup you can change the location in that file, it's really short and easy to find where to change it.
