chicken wings and eggs

I was wondering if you could clip chickens wings so they dont fly over a fence? And how exactly you do it? I also want to know how old a chicken has to be before they start laying eggs?

you only cut one wing and then just the outer flight feathers some hens lay 4 1/2 to 5 months and some start as late as 6 months
