chicken wire installation

i am using chicken wire on my day-time chicken tractor....dh and i have figured out how to get it nice and flat and tight...but we cant figure out how to cut it at the end ...umm...how to explain better

i guess we need to know how to finish the edge...hopefully you guys understand what we are trying to do and have some ideas to pass around...thnx for the info

Depending where it is, you could lay a piece of finishing wood on top of it and nail that down. I am assuming that your chicken wire is ending at a post or the edge of a structure though..
 
The only thing to do with chicken wire is cut it on the same row all the way along. Then I cover my ends with a 2" piece of thin wood, like the old snow fencing boards or paneling cut into strips, to keep it from scratching you.

I think you may not be getting many responses since many people don't use chicken wire because it only keeps chickens in and won't keep predators out.
