Since my DH and I have started a mini-farm at the tender age of 73 (DH), we were totally amazed at how many of the old sayings we used that were really from observing your chickens in all their behaviors and different environments. I wonder how many of these "sayings" we can come up with? How 'bout if I start with a few and ya'll chime in with yours...
