Hi all,
My chicken (type unknown, donated, ~8 mos old) was egg bound for the 1st time earlier this week, or so it appears. She was leaking the yolk, and then finally passed the shell a bit later, but it seemed almost completely intact just soft. Now this has happened twice more. She passes them at night, not in the morning when she normally lays. This is the first problem we have had with her.
I'm going to try giving her more calcium rich foods, in case she is deficient. Also, I read that, since we cleaned the coop just recently, she might be uncomfortable with the changes? And is stressed? Otherwise she seems fine though.
