I have a 1-year old Wyandotte hen, free range, who developed what looks like two large breasts between her neck and belly (we've been calling her Mae West). She has had this for two weeks, and as she walks around, she is constantly "jerking" her neck around, as if she's having a hard time swallowing, or maybe trying to force her gizzard into action, or??? She lets me pick her up and hold her on her back, and massage what apears to be super-inflated crop, and she doesnt fuss at all - she seems to like it. I suspected sour crop, or maybe she swallowed something big (the girls were digging up hibernating frogs at the edge of the pond right about the time this started.)

What is really weird to me is that this has been going on for two weeks, and she is just as active and alert as normal. Anyone have a diagnosis...or better yet, and remedy? I've never seen this 20+ years of raising chickens.
