Chicken with medical issue...could be an emergency.

My chicken has something going on, noticed this today. First off...she is getting up there. 4 years old. Free range and does not lay anymore.

I noticed she had something hanging out of her back side. It looks like a long membrane with a piece of tissue at the end. It almost touches the ground.

It is not bloody. The piece is white as is the long membrane.

She is eating and does not seem to be bothered by it.

I am worried however.

Any help would be appreciated.

CATCH HER, inspect her, tell the group where the piece is coming from and if it actually tissue vs something stuck to her feathers.

Ok...it was attached to her feathers but definitely came from an opening in her behind. It looked like a piece of internal tissue.

Scary.

Thanks and I am going to keep an eye on her.
