Chicken With No Tailfeathers!!!!!!

well, i thought that, but she is completely different from the rest.

Sound like it is a breed mix up. had the same thing happen when getting supposedly six RIR pullets ended up with five Buckeye Roosters and what we believe is a NH red hen. but still don't know for sure what she is

. as long as it is not being bullied I would leave it too grow and see what it turns out to be.

Could be eggciting.

I believe the Auracana that are Rumpless (without tail feathers) actually don't have a tail for the feathers to grow from. I am sure that someone that knows for sure will chime in eventually.

You could check that out for sure. If that is the case, you have a rarer chick than you think as those are less common that the EE that many people seem to get when they order Auracana.

I have a Red that doesn't have tail feathers yet at 4 weeks..... But it is also slow to feather everywhere. The rest of my New Hampshires and RIR's and ???? Reds are almost fully feathered except under the wings and around the head. Mine came from Murray McMurray.

Thats really interesting. Does yours have feathers on its head yet?

Legs are wrong coloring for a EE, Ameraucana,

Americana is a culture~ Ameraucana's are chickens

maybe a mix? Hatcheries sell ameraucana's but they are really EE's. Araucana's and true ameraucana's are rare these days. Araucana's are super cool looking chickens. Hatcheries are also messing up true RIR's cause most are just production reds. I have 2 and love mine!!! I also have 2 true RIR's and boy are they dark!! Way darker then my sold as RIR's..

Did you get a surprise chick when ordering. Oh it would be sooo cool if an araucana!!!
