No. Not at all. Just a extra couple toes to clip. We didn't let him breed because we didn't want to carry on the mutant toe.

No one anywhere said anything about cutting off toes. The only suggestion one person made was trimming the toenails if they get too long. The nails on those extra toes probably will not touch the ground and will not wear down in everyday scratching around.

A couple of my Cochin x Silkie mixes have six toes on one foot. I even have one baby that has no toenail on one toe. I haven't looked all that closely at it (hard to find a specific baby out of 20 others that look almost exactly the same), but I think it's actually missing the whole last knuckle on that toe.

But it doesn't affect them at all. They're all just as healthy as the rest.
