chicken with six toes on one foot

    recently we bought four chickens and one of the chickens have six toes on one foot

    Looks like there was a silkie in that pullet's background somewhere.

    Six toes are not unheard of and are not unusual in 5-toed breeds. I had a few pop up in my Faverolles this past season.

    Interesting, the chicken is a cross? Suppose there's Sultan or Silkie in the chicken?

    My silkie roo was a mutt and had 6 toes on each foot. It's definitely a silkie cross.

    No. Not at all. Just a extra couple toes to clip. We didn't let him breed because we didn't want to carry on the mutant toe.
