Hello everyone. I have a 1 year old RIR. Just over a week ago, I noticed she was limping. I didn't see any obvious injuries, so I decided to just watch her as she was still moving around very well. However, the next day, the other chickens began attacking her, chasing and pecking. She would run from them and hide. I was able to rescue her. Luckily, no major injuries from the others. However, I noticed on the inside of her right foot was swollen. I immediately thought it was bumble foot, as I have battled that before. I flipped her over to inspect the bottom of the foot, nothing. I have inspected between her toes, nothing. There are no open wound or breaks in the skin. I don't feel anything broken and she can still move her toes. It's been a week and she still limps and the foot is still swollen. I've been keeping her in a box in the house. She's eating, drinking, and pooping A LOT. She, otherwise, acts normal. A few days ago, I attempted to put her back with her flock. Wrong move as they began chasing and attacking her again. So, again, I rescued her. Here are some pictures. Forgive them as I was by myself and she suddenly decided to stop cooperating. The dark areas on her foot on the bottom picture is some poop and shading. I couldn't get a better picture because she started squirming. So, any thoughts?

They may be attacking her because she is sick or because she is limping. Is there any swelling of her hock joints? The pictures for some reason are not showing up...can you try again to post them?

Sorry, having a bit of trouble loading my pictures. Hopefully it worked this time :)

I can't see on the picture but is there a black scarf on the bottom of her foot. Also has it been raining a lot where you live? My chicken got bumble foot from the ground being so wet some of the moisture just got into her foot. But it really doesn't look like bumble foot

There is no scab on the bottom of the foot. The last picture isn't the best as she started squiring, just some shadowing and poop. The skin on the top and bottom of the foot is completely intact. The weather here has been quite hot and dry. I'm completely stumped!

I can't feel anything broken. And she can move her toes without any problems. It just seems to hurt when she puts weight on it. While she stands, she does hold it up off the floor. When I was manipulating her foot, it didn't really seem to bother her.
