Maybe for a small bird or a Bantam. With some of the vets being turned out of UC Davis these days, I'm not too confident with what the average one claims. I had a UC graduate vet diagnose an old dog with Megaesophagus when the dog was anesthetized. She tried to justify it when the dog, in fact, didn't have Megaesophagus since anesthesia naturally causes the muscles to relax around the esophagus, thus opening the passageway. Just an example that vets don't always know what they are talking about.
 
I appreciate all of yall for helping me through all of this confusion, and I know I am probably getting on everyones nerves from asking all these questions, but i am giving her safegaurd in about 10 minutes, and i can't find fish zole, but the local pet store will be open tomorrow and i will look for fish zole. If i give her safeguard do I need to give fish zole also?? I am also going to treat her for scaly leg mites so hopefully all of this and a packet of probiotics will perk her up a little bit. To the person who asked me to take a pic of her poop. I will try to get a pic but no promises, but there was a large pile under where she roosts and it looked like the filmy groess stuff that you throw up if you don't have food in your stomach, and that is the closest thing I can compare it to. Once again thanks for all of the help and I hope she makes it!!

I don't know of any pigeon breeders but if the safegaurd doesn't perk her up, and if I can't find fish zole, then i will get some metronidazole from my vet but im hoping i can find fish zole. Also her poop doesn't have blood in it, it is only yellow film stuff right now.
