I hear this can happen naturally. I have 13 guineas mixed with 20 chickens and 3 roosters. Maybe something will happen?

You have a better chance when you remove the males of the one, and the females of the other species...

My Black Copper Maran roo keeps trying to breed my juvenile guinea hens.

These 2 are inseperable! "Stumpy" the guinea had an accident as a keet and only has one foot.... she was outcast from the flock and started hanging out with the chickens! The Malay was raised with guinea keets, so thinks it's a guinea! I saw him mount her for the first time the other day, breeding season is just around the corner here too. PS they aren't penned,.... they had wondered into one of the pens so I took a pic of them.

I have just set half a dozen possible hybrid eggs! I'm really hoping they are fertile, I've seen him mate with her successfully several times now.

Candled the 4 eggs tonight, and it looks like 2 started to develop but one has died, I can see the others heart beating

Here he is!! There were 4 fertile eggs but the other 3 died before external pip. Bottom pic was him yesterday and top pic was taken today, he was quite weak yesterday but today he is full of beans, eating and actually a very happy little chick running and jumping and flapping wings LOL. The sounds he makes are like an in between sound except the alone cry is more like a chicken chick.
