I have 3 chicks that are about 2 months (guessing) old, they are just now to big to get through the wire fencing so they are digging under the fence to get out....the full grown hens aren't helping as they love digging along the fence line too. I have put rocks, boards, more dirt, etc., as barriers to keep them in but they keep outwitting me. What does everyone else use along the fence line?

Can you show a picture of their run and where they are escaping from? I have bricks along the outside of my run and haven’t had an issue. But it sounds like a predator apron with hardware cloth is needed

Looks like you have stuff up against the inside fence as well? I'll try to take pictures tomorrow.

I put tree branches along the inside of the fence line to keep them from digging right up against it.

They're mostly buried at this point and decomposing so I'll need to add more in the near future, but still doing the trick for now.

I'll get some bigger "logs" and put along the bottom of the fence.
