Not that good.. I have annoying neighbors and they complained bout my roosters so we purchased these doors so the roosters would be locked in at night and wouldnt crow at the crack of dawn. But they were locked outside the doors so my neighbors were awoken early
try this one....... The have them for sale on ebay, I just got mine in and it is really simple, and well made. The lift rope is designed to break if something should jam or bind the door. This is to save from burning up the motor. The rope is easily replaced and they even include a spare one inside the housing. Really though, as long as you keep the door track fairly free from debris, you should never have any trouble.
I don't know about this one, but from a personal standpoint, you can't go wrong with the door opener from Foy.
Yeah it's expensive, but in 3 years, I have not had one time where it did not open or close. Snow or snow haven't stopped it. No critters have ever made it past the door even though there are scratches and chewed marks in the wood surrounding the door.
This is the one from Foys. Mine has been installed for 3 years and it's never failed to open or close. Not in snow or ice either. Although you can see scratches and teeth marks in the outside framing of the pophole nothing has ever gotten in past the door.
Like I said, a tad expensive but well worth it. PLUS it's totally battery operated. I don't have elect. anywhere close to my coops.
