ChickenGuard Dogs...let's see em

Here's my Golden Retrievers, Sadie and Jack. Sadie passed away a year ago at age 11, so Jack is alone now. Getting a new Golden puppy next month and Jack will be SO happy to have a new best friend. Of course I'll have to train the new puppy but it's easier when the older dog is already trained to be protective of chickens because the new puppy will sense and learn from her.

My three Buff Orpington terrorize the poor lad to no end. I mean they attempt to get within three feet of him and he is at the gate whining for us to let him out of the backyard.

Well obviously he's a poor little picked on pooch. I mean, just look in those pitiful little eyes. Mean chickens picking on the little guy, it's amazing he's escaped with his life so far!

Here is Cash--he is an Anatolian x Border Collie...an interesting cross for sure. He's excellent at herding (goats/chickens/cows). Plus, he's ultra-protective of the cats, goats, chickens and horses.
He's almost four years old and is about 95lbs and 29 inches at the shoulder. All muscle.

Here he is with "his puppy"--my in-laws' Aussie pup, Tater. Tater is now 60-some pounds and they do not get along very well--BUT when Tater was little, he "belonged" to Cash! It was sooo cute!

And this is Brodee. He's an almost four-year-old Borzoi. He's my show dog...but when he's not being shown (by his breeder), he's AWESOME with coyote control!

He can run like the wind and although he's a sighthound, he's very good with the cats, my husband's grandparents Boston terrier puppy and all of the ducks/chickens. His only downfall is that he's an egg-eater. Can you imagine my surprise & horror when I found a VERY upset Muscovy duck off her nest & hissing at him, as he devoured the LAST of my three Sebbie eggs she had been sitting on for 20-some days?
