Chickens act like they are starving?

That sounds great! what brand of watering cups did you use?
These ones... I was at TSC buying feed and my husband wanted them. Probably the best random buy we've had in a while. We bought our bucket at Lowe's and placed it on 6 bricks.

I just got a 5 gallon bucket for water and put the poultry watering cups on it yesterday! Mine drink it like it's sweet tea on a hot day. The gallon waterer was just not working for my 3 hens.
We got the bucket set up and the girls love it! Thanks for recommending.:)

Not only did I buy these, I also put a float valve inside the bucket attached to a hose. Bucket now self fills as well. Won't be good in the winter but I have base heaters I use and they work great too.

That's a great idea... My bucket is pretty close to the hose and someone is always here to fill it. I'm sure we will do this idea eventually. If only the chickens could fill it themselves

I have one hen I think is obese.
She's the biggest, fattest, bossiest bird I've ever seen.
She'll literally boob punch the other hens away from anything that looks like treats, including compost.
Some chickens...are just fat asses.

Ok, this made me laugh out loud, seriously. You need to post videos. :)
