Chickens always screaming!

sometimes... they just do that. what breed are they? i have a welsummer who is just LOUD that's just how she is, her breed are all like that. rir and leghorns are also known to be loud mouths
My 1 Wellie is the shyest/quietest of the 26, and the 2 Wellies had before, as well. Just depends, I guess. My loudest and fussiest is one of my EEs. Most outgoing are my RIR hybrids. As in "I don't care if I have to be held. Whatever it takes to get the food first."

Any chance you have a rodent in the coop/run? I will say I virtually never hear my chickens apart from their egg song. If they raise a ruckus, there is something wrong. Generally I find a prairie dog or wild bird has gotten into their run and they are freaking out. I don't always catch a rodent in the act of poaching the food dish, but I'm fairly certain that's what's going on if my chickens are being exceptionally loud.

Record and post sounds. My chickens produce the most sounds when they want something or are not happy.
X2
I've heard a lot of noisy chickens of all sexes and breeds but nothing I would call a scream - except the ones I've plucked off the roost and carry to the killing cone. They scream for help then.
Post a video and we can probably speak chicken for you.

My chickens only scream if a squirrel gets inside their run.

Maybe they're bored. I'd throw in some toys and enrichment items and see if that helped at all, they may be bored and arguing amongst themselves.

Dang! Other people's chickens eat copperheads and rats and ticks and hop on their lap. Mine have 10 acres and still eat $20 worth of feed a week and have to be really hungry to be caught. I sooo hoped they liked fire ants and stinkbugs. Love em anyway. They do fertilize well.

My girls chase them down... then gobble them down; I no longer have a rodent problem.:celebrate

You clearly either only have small rodents or gigantic chickens! I would love if my chickens were able to gobble down these buggers.
