Hi, welcome to BYC! It's nice to meet you. I would post that on the injuries forum to see if anyone would help. Hope you find an answer!Hi all, I’m new to this website. I have 7 chickens that I’ve had for 7 years, a commercially beautiful white turkey that I think has bumble foot. She’s about Four. I can’t see her feet she closes her toes over the pads, she weighs about 20 pounds. I noticed she was getting limp and I just don’t know what to do. She is so sweet. I can’t bring her to the vet and I can’t bring her in my house. She huge! How do I handle this?
Hello and welcome to BYC!Glad you joined.
With a bird that size, you are going to need a helper.
Start by soaking the foot in warm Epsom salt water for at least 10 minutes then gently clean the bottom and get a good look. If you see a bumble, there are many techniques you can use to remove it depending on how bad it is. You can post to the ER Forum for more help but do the soak and clean first then get good pictures to post. Good luck.
