I to had a chicken that was wheezing and she looked healthy although distressed and I thought she had something stick in her air way. I tried to get her to drink which didn't help. I sat and held her for awhile, wondering what I will do and she started breathing normally. Long story short, after watching the chickens, I realized one of the others was picking on her and she wheezed whenever the other one cornered her, or she couldn't escape. It was the first time I ever saw anxiety/panic attacks in chickens! She breathed so hard I could hear her from a distance. I gave them more room, some alfalfa bales to play with and it stopped. I'm not saying that's the problem with your chicken but I hope you find the problem soon and it's an easy fix! When the pets are in distress, so are we!
