I've just come here to reach out to other people's experiences with chickens and guinea pigs and if they know any pros and cons about them. Personally, my 2 guinea pigs and 2 bantams stick together and have a 'flock mentality'. They eat together, forage together and follow each over. They get along so well and when I introduced the flocks to the guinea pigs I was surprised that they didn't get into any arguments at all. Instead they follow each over around and stick together like a flock. Note; of course I don't cramp them all in that tiny hutch they live separately but just free-range together.

You brought back fond memories. When I was a girl, my first flock was started with 4 bantams hatched in the school incubator. Those birds were a lot of fun. I also raised a family of guinea pigs. They were fun also. I don't recall ever letting the guinea pigs range with the bantams. I didn't have the fencing to do so, or perhaps I didn't have them at the same time.
