Chickens and Kittens

Yup. My cats are fine with chickens, but not chicks. Every time they hear peeping, they come running like it's treat time.

i'm not sure but..if i did try it i would just really socialize the kitten now with them...(supervised)..if she gos for them..maybe sspray her with a water bottle ..get a empty soda can..put pennies in it..tape it shut..and if you see her start to stalk them or whatever..shake the can loudly...

...i bet alot of cats wont go after them though..chickens can get pretty big..and can give a good peck!!..lol....but..the only other thing is..i know that cat saliva(i.e., say if she bit one of the chickens) is toxic to birds..

..a vet told me that before...good luck.

Our full grown hunter cats don't bother the chickens and when we had a mom hen with 6 chicks for a while, the mom really protected those chicks from the cats. The cats were tempted, but the mom really went after them a couple of times and they learned to stay away.

When my chickens were at my sister's they would chase her cat, especially when they are broody. . .
