Chicken ivy is climbing over my fence and was wondering if my chickens will be okay eating it? Can't find anything online about it. It's the vining kind, not the shrub. Definitley poison ivy (wish I had known that before weedwacking half of it!) Any ideas on how to get rid of it?

Find a goat on craigslist, let him work on it for a while then post him back on there. Thats what we did and poison ivy is all gone and goat left our house about 5 lbs. heavier.

I don't want to get an animal just to get rid of it and it can't substain on just ivy. Can't afford another type of animal feed anyway.

I put my run around a whole bunch of poison ivy and within a month it was gone. Well, everything is gone now except the dirt... LOL Gotta love chickens!!

No ill effects? I don't know how to get rid of the roots, I'm oooober allergic to the stuff, my whole family is. So once my chickens peck it down, maybe any ideas?
