Chickens and sunlight.

Our enclosure is under a big old maple tree. Now that spring is here, the leaves are blocking most of the sunlight. How much sunlight do chickens need to be healthy and happy?

I bet they enjoy the light and the comfort of the shade tree all at once. They dont need direct sun beating on them. They just need daylight.
