Chickens and the garden

My chicks are only 3 weeks old but I can see already that I'll have to fence to keep them out. I was trying to work in there the other day and they kept following me in and eating my seeds.

Chickens + Gardens = No Garden IMO LOL

My chickens can free range all day during winter. During spring it is in the coop except for when I am in the yard with them. They will destroy any flower, any plant, any veggies, any fruit, and mine love tomatoes!

I've seen people use electric fence a little off the ground around their garden to keep chickens out. IDK if that works....

I have chicken wire around my garden. I love my chickies, but I wouldn't leave them alone with any plant I didn't want to die. They love to pull leaves off my plants, it must be for fun because they usually don't eat them. When I go into the fenced area they start to circle like sharks. As I prune and pull weeds I toss them over to them. So if you want to actually grow your garden, then I would fence it.
