So cute!
Looked like they were saying(to you) "What have you done out here?" " Eww COLD FEET!"

Thanks for the link, tdgill! I guess I better start calling Biddy an EE instead.

Yes, my bantam is a little spoiled thing.....she wasn't worried at all because she knew I wouldn't let her miss out on the treat! Little stinker!

BTW, the incredible, wonderful treat that they were so excited about was....plain old scratch grains! I don't know why, but it's like candy to them! I think they would eat it until they exploded, given the opportunity.

That was so cute! This was my chickens' first snow, too. Well, it snowed last year, but they stayed in their coop all day, so this was their first snow that they went out in. They reacted pretty much how yours did.

What a darling pic of the chickie with the snowman!!

Just think, all over Texas chickens have had their first snow encounters!! And the way it has been going they may see more of it before the typically hot as heck summer suddenly descends upon us.

Since I no longer have a chicken to introduce to the snow I made a chicken out of the snow.

I think the neighbors wondered what on earth I was doing out in the snow. Most people my age were wisely sitting by the fire drinking hot chocolate.....or something. But this was a record breaking 13+ inch snow between Dallas and Ft. Worth, so special actions were in order!!

Wouldn't it be nice if Texas actually had a period of "mild" weather in between freezing cold and so hot you sweat just from breathing? I'd rather have more snow than already have to face the steam room zone. Relatives from Minnesota weren't too thrilled with the temps in the 20s and snow during their recent visit, but it was probably a lot warmer here than what they would have had at home.

I was very proud of the snowhen. I went outside each evening and added more snow so she would last several days!!

Yes, it seems like springtime lasts about 1 week total, and then all of sudden it's 93 degrees....then a couple weeks later it's 105! AHHHH!!!!
