Chickens and Ticks

I just got my chicks in the mail yesterday, and I pulled a tick off my dog a week ago. I was just cleaning out the brooder and a few minutes later i found a small black bug on my skin that I think was a tick. (it was not attached though) Is it more likely a problem with my dog or my 2 day old chicks?

I would treat the dog and the chicks will peck at the tick when they see one.

great timing. I just pulled a tick off my dog and wondered when my 6 week olds were going to start helping to reduce the ticks in the yard. Lyme is one of my neighboring towns so we're considered "ground zero" for lyme. hope my ladies can find and eat the tiny deer ticks as well as dog ticks!
