Chickens and Tipu Trees

I would like to find just one person who has had chickens who free ranged near where a Tipu (Tipuana Tipu) tree is growing. They drop seeds and baby trees, and I have not been able to find any evidence that they are poisonous, but I sure wish I could hear it from a real person's experience.

Thanks so much. Coop location and design are kind of dependent on safety, and we are just starting out.
