Chickens and turkeys

A girlfriend just gave me a turkey and 5 hens. The turkey seems to think she is a chicken, and my other chickens don't seem to mind her. She is more finicky than my chickens and wants me to hand feed her treats, rather than compete for them.

X2! The other day, at bedtime, I had 3 hens huddled in for a hug (and to keep warm). They were pushed up against me and tucking in their heads to go to sleep and my tom, Romeo was right up behind them, trying to get in on the hugs! Gotta love the turkeys!

I had a few wild Rio Grande, that I caught when they were a few days old. 1 minute they wanted attention, the next, they were trying to spur me. The UPS driver told everyone in the neighborhood, "nevermind the Great Danes, look out for the turkeys. The male would go after the USPs person every time. The male weighed 32lbs.
