You could take a poop sample to the vet to be tested.....and then go from there. There is plenty of information out about natural prevention of worms. Take a look on this site and you'll find alot of great info . I for one like to use the preventitive ways- first. I do give my girls pumpkin seeds, they also get yogurt and cayenne and garlic ocassinally- I do have their poop tested about twice a year. So far no worms. I think 8 weeks old is to young to be guessing if they have worms and just medicate them for the heck of it. Good LuckI have 8 week old chicks. They are kept in a pen and do not forage in the yard as we live in the city. Do chickens that are penned need deworming?
