We've got rain coming so I thought I'd cover the run with a tarp. Now they won't come out. The food and water is in the run. I don't want it in the coop. Crazy a$$ birds!!! Lol

Plain and simple - 'Poultry hate change'. I once changed loft bedding from wood pellets to pine shavings. Pigeons refused to enter the loft so I had to trap them through another section and move them to their section.

Your birds will be much happier once they realize they aren't getting wet. Lol. They won't starve themselves over it, and will get over it. Have you tried treats to lure them?

Chickens don't adapt well. If you move their coop more than a couple feet at one time they won't be able to find it.

My chickens adapted very well to the tarps on these hoop coops. Of course when they were finished I unceremoniously chunked their butts in their new digs, walked away and said Deal with it. IMAG0021.jpg IMAG0022.jpg
