Chickens are so weird!!!!!

I had some Stouffer's chicken and rice casserole that comes in a black plastic disposable tray. There was some leftover so I decided to give it to the chickens.
I take it out to the chicken yard and almost all the chooks run away scared because of the black plastic. The only ones who ran right up and started eating the minute I sat the tray down was my light girls, because they're not afraid of anything.
So the light girls are busy stuffing their faces and all the others are circling around the outside of them, running in and grabbing anything that the lights drop then running away again.
The longer I have chickens the weirder they get.

Some chickens are just skittish of new and strange looking things that are new to their territory (coop/run/yard/flock)
...others can be bold and brash!
Just depends on their personalities!

Oh I bet that was funny to watch. I'm thinking I need to invest in a DVD recorder for mine? LOL
