Sooo, I’m now fairly seasoned when it come to raising chickens. Been through a lot of illnesses, learned how to keep them alive and thriving and happy for the most part. Weeeeeell my friend asked if I may want to buy a couple of calves with her, and we would share care and expenses. And me, being the mighty farmer that I now am agreed (note the heavy sarcasm). OMG. Big mistake. These suckers are HIGH maintenance, hard to keep alive, and so cute that just looking at them breaks your heart. WHAT HAVE I DONE?!?! Hopefully we get through this with our sanity intact.

Thanks!! I feel like it’s the national Lampoons of farming adventures. At least we are learning a lot. We will keep trying our best. Luckily we have a lot of friends who raise cattle and they’ve been great sources of advice. I do however think that I will stick with my feathered animals from now on.
