HELP!! My chickens are 36 weeks old and still no eggs! I have two Rhode Island Red's and one black chicken. I have had them since about 6-8 weeks old and they have been together the whole time. I'm feeding them Layerina food, they get oyster shells, about two weeks ago we added a light in the coop so they now have light from 6a-8:30p. Can someone please tell me if there is something else I need to do? I'm about to just throw up my hands with these chickens.

If they are heritage breed chickens you just have to be more patient they are not quite as proficent layers as Sex Link birds but they are a better dual purpose bird. Trade offs always have to be made with a heritage breed. Sounds to me like you are doing all you can do.
