chickens as house pets? Opinions and views

Pics
I had one for a while. He rode around on the cat’s back and slept with him every night. But then we got chicks that were living in the laundry room and the chicken started staying with them all the time so he went outside with them when they got bigger. It’s a mess to have a house chicken. But they are amazing pets.

I have a large rabbit cage I use indoors for quarantine or a brooder when my outdoor one is occupied. My Easter Egger hens are incredibly bad about coming in the dog door and joining me in the kitchen, begging for treats. Luckily they don't like the dog, so the majority of the time they just stick their heads inside and inform me it's snack time.

Too funny. I could totally see that happening. My dogs and chickens can’t get to each other. One day I didn’t lock the door to the garage (my dog can open doors) and I left the outside garage door open. Dog vs chicken first ever. Judy (leghorn) clucked and looked up at me. The dog turned around and tried to get back in the house! LOL PHEW!!!
