I have a few chickens for sale at my garage sale, and hearing the things people are saying, I just cant not share them on here. I will update as I get some more good ones, but so far people have asked me if my pullets will be egg layers, if you can eat the eggs from them, those band-tams make the best soup....... Like I said, I will post if I hear any more kickers. LOL. Two days to go, Im sure I will..........

I have long held the opinion that if you can't say it or spell it, you don't need it! Years ago when we raised Dobermans, I would get calls, "You got any more of them Dovermans for sale?" "NOPE". Same story with Rockwelders.

hey...don't hold spelling against me! My fingers move faster then my brain! Plus stupid chickens come from all over and bring names with them and then they get changed and some folks say it should be this way and some say that way and then there is the whole how do yo say d'uccles....never could figer out how to say ' but i guess i will figure it out....so about those dodgermums...

Im confused. Who is spelling? LOL. That IS how a guy was saying it. He also thought that "band-tams" were a breed. Even though they are all in the same cage together and obviously different kinds. (sebrights and gold duckwing OEGB's)

And another person called someone on their cellphone while they were looking at the chickens and told that person that "they have birds in a cage over here" and that she would probably know what kind they are. The cages are labeled with breed names, genders, and prices. Maybe she didnt even know that they were chickens. I would understand if they were confused about the bantams since they are so small, but the barred rocks and brahmas? geeeez.

I had been saying Dee-uckle for the longest time....but now I've started saying Dee-OO-Klay
I have no idea how to pronounce it, I just know Roo is a White D'uccle and he's my favorite and I love him.

I neither attempt to spell, nor say that word. So props to you for trying both!!! Hahaha.

I was doing my best to show the pronunciations.

Thanks though!
I know my comment was a tad off topic....just thought I would share. No one else gets it.
I talk about my birds and bird stuff all day at work and everyone thinks I'm nuts. "She's 20 and she's already a crazy animal lady, stay away from her."
I come here to feel normal!!!
