Chickens at night!

When it begins to get dark my chickens do not go up into the coop they bunker down on re floor in a corner however they do know how to go up cause they do that during the day, is this normal or is there something that I need to do?

Some of my hens are like that they choses whats comfortable for them. Nothing you can do, someday they will get bored and will go up the roost when they feel like it.

Thank you for the post after a while they did start to go up on their own.

Sometimes they cannot get up on the roost because it is too dark for them to see it. I would try adding a night light.
