I dont believe so. I just have no idea what happened. I will just keep them apart for a while. Thankfully I have an extra coop and can do that.

Thank you!! I just wonder why in the world she started picking on the other one after 2 years. The wounded gal seems to be better, but I will still keep them apart until the weekend, and pray it doesn't happen again.I have a hen that has done this before. I think she pecked and drew blood which doesn't normally happen. Once blood was drawn she wasn't going to stop she was really aggressive. I had to separate until the wound had healed and then when returned it was like nothing had happened...
