My chickens are beating up on each other so much. I have one that got an eye pecked and is all bruised and swollen. Another one cowers in the corner and tucks it's head way back all the time. I moved both of them to there own area but she is still cowering all the time. Is there anything I can or should do or is it just a matter of giving her time? I had 10 Lohman chickens, but after they got beat up and put in their own area I got 2 more. So now I have 10 on one side of the coop and 2 on the other side.

For people to help they need quite a lot more information.
Pictures can save a lot of typing and a lot of guesswork.
Often flock aggression is symptomatic of keeping problems so a picture of the run and coop may also help.:)

I had 10 Lohman chickens, but after they got beat up and put in their own area, I got 2 more. So now I have 10 on one side of the coop and 2 on the other side healing. I will post a few pictures within the hour. They have plenty of room. The area is about 3 times the size of their last home and there were 35 in that coop. I open the door for them to go outside to the outside area which is just as big but they won't leave the inside coop.

This is a bit confusing.
Where were the 10 lohman getting beat up...at your place or somewhere else?
Then you added 2 more and they are fighting with the 10?
How long have you had these birds?

Nice coop, I have some suggestions, but later for that.

Ok. Can I edit the post or just reply here. I will take pictures and post in about an hour.
Best to add new reply/post when adding new info instead of editing to keep the thread in chronological order. (Yes, I fudged that 'quote' for a post that is no longer there)

Oh and Welcome to BYC! @JeannieS
Please replace your zipcode with state name so we don't have to google it ;)

Great looking coop.

The outside seems exposed though.
I reckon that might be why they won't go out. A hawk can pretty easily roost on the eave and just pick em off as they come out.

I'd throw some cover in there, maybe a 3 or 4 chicken wide ramp so if they do get attacked, more than one can run to safety at a time.
