I am so sick of child protection services. They have no checks and balances. They pull children then you prove you are innocent after jumping through all these hoops then they don't even say sorry. It really makes me made. When my girls where younger I lived in CO I had a case worker pull my kids because they where to skinny. I am a skinny person I had to prove that I did not starve my kids. They lost weight in foster care. Any way come to find out this worker had adoptive parents waiting on my younger daughter. She was getting paid under the table for these kids. She got caught I got my kids back I just wish I had been smart and sued the State I just wanted everyone to go away. I have never trusted another agency since. They did cover up this whole mess. I hope you can get CPS out of your life soon.

I didn't read every post on your topic here so if someone else has said this, please forgive, but I read somewhere a while back that children raised around chickens have less chance of being affected by samonella and other chicken/egg related illnesses because through constant contact, they have built up an immunity. If you could find something about that, it would totally blow them out of the water!

Anyways, sorry about what you are being put through but like you said, it is ignorance and unless someone chooses to educate themselves, you can't change that. Hope everything goes well and you can get on with your life and raising your chicks!

Before my son was born, I could never get over 90lbs I ate all the time. When I got pregnant with all three of my older children I weighed between 85-87 lbs when my sons was born I weighed 132lbs he was 8lbs 2oz but i left the hospital at 110lbs back down to 90 lbs by 6 weeks.

Same here Ghostrider. The system needs a BIG OVERHAUL. Maybe we all need to write to the Dept. of Human Service in Washington and tell them how big a failure this system is for all kids.

That was why the Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional for them to go interview tihout a warrant, court order, or parental consent. It removes their ability to decide for themselves based on probably cause. It was decided that they need that check and balance by having parental consent or involve a judge. This is a step in the right direction at least. The facts in the case blew me away. Something like 75% of all cases end up being false accusations. Of those a majority of the children would have never otherwise been exposed to thoughts or questions of their parents ability to care for them, their parents abusing them, or other accusations. The children in many of these cases found it a traumatic experienced to be seized and interviewed.

I called today, because I didn't hear from anyone still. I was told by another case worker there that they had to contact me the same day they interviewed Madison. I requested a supervisor but was unable to reach one. A message was left for a specific supervisor to call me that specializes in dealing with exaggerated charges and false charges. She will be calling me back I hope because she didn't call me today. I told them that I would've gladly allowed them into my home again to verify that my house was indeed clean and safe. Had they contacted me first and questioned me on the animals and the cleanliness it would not have been an issue. My problem is that first of all the charges were just blown out of any normal level in the first place by that jerk, and secondly, that my daughter was needlessly involved and upset.

I have some letters, court documents, and statements from friends. I have Madison's files from the mental health office as well. I need to call and speak with the principal about this as well. If she didn't know they couldn't come in and pull Madi, she should've still contacted me in some way. I am a bit disappointed in the staff after I have been so pleased with them thus far. I'm willing to forgive the school if I get some reasonable answers as to how this happened.

Meow, forget about the school. They are just as terrified of CPS, not to mention, in Kahoots with them. And I'm a foster parent, so take it from me. The people WHO SHOULD NOT get their kids back do, often-times by the Judge (Or so CPS says, even though I think the judges go on their recommendations). Then the kids end up back in the system, and/or dead, abused, neglected, while the parents who are not doing anything, well ...they end up with their kids in the system for a long time, or whatever. So the ONLY reason I do foster care, is because I love the kids, and my 18 year old daughter on her death bed, when asked what we should do to remember her, was told to help other children less fortunate. So here we are~! Because of confidentiality issues, I cannot state "specific names, cases", but let me leave you with a story;

There were two kids placed in the system, ages 2 and 4. They had been "working" with the mother/father since the oldest was a baby. Both were alcoholic/drug addicts, and both children suffered a lot of harm because of it. Anyway, the children were FINALLY temporarily removed, and placed with a great foster family, who tried to help the parent/s out and get them back in line. The mother was 7 months pregnant and going for a Cleansing of her system once a week because she was full of Soma Compound, Heroin, and other pain killers, such as lortabs, etc. You get the pic! Her boyfriend was supposed to take a drug test as well since he lived with her, but he refused and nobody made him do it. Dad lived with his girl (nice girl btw), she had a child, and one with him), but he was also into drugs, etc. Long story short, kids were sent returned to mom after six weeks, baby born prematurely, addicted of course), next thing foster parents know, all three kids back in care with another foster family within 60 days after being returned.

Wait...it gets better;

Current foster family dad is only interested in baby, so keeps bothering the SW that he can't handle the two older kids. So...out of desperation (I'm guessing here), the SW goes back to court, and the two oldest end up with dad (ages 4 and 5 by the way). Stayed with dad all of 6 weeks, and the youngest dies. Supposedly he was playing in a crib and toppled over onto his head. Ambulance called, kid in coma, fly to another hospital. Never wakes up. Autopsy says; broken hip, broken neck, etc., Can't reveal what else, cause...well you know confidentiality and someone could figure it out I guess.
Anyway, someone please tell me HOW a 4 year old can fall from a crib and get that many injuries, not to mention a broken neck. When my kids were little they fell from climbing on bunk beds, maybe a bruise or too, but please! Anyhow nothing has come of it that I heard, and I think it probably hasn't because the judge and social services does not want to be involved because they were the ones who GAVE THEM BACK TO THE PARENTS. Anybody agree???
I hope this will even open everybody eyes further. BTW, whoever does not watch the Wednesday Night Series "Justified" , start watching it. It must be a true story.

I just want to offer my sympathies. These situations are soooo aggravating! Evil gets a foothold and it is like a disease. Hey, you might change your educational goals! Become an advocate for families victimized by CPS. There should be some consequences for those who turn in innocent people to CPS.

Get parakeets. They're filthy, spray their pooey bedding everywhere, and their downy fluff ends up in the strangest of places. Disgusting. But more socially acceptable and officers probably wouldn't bat an eye.
