I have four Bantams. Three are rooster :( they just started showing signs of being roosters. My one earlier this week started getting a dark spot on her comb and around her eye. Around her eye is pretty bad. She keeps scratching around her eye. When I looked there was a small area that looks like it is clearing up. One of the roosters has it on his comb, but just a few spots. I looked up fowl pox and it doesn't look like that as they are round and they are risen off the skin. First time having chickens so unsure on what is wrong with them.

When mine had fowl pox, many of them had it, and the lesions varied in size and shape. They weren't all flat. If that's what it is, a lesion by the eye will look worse as it is bound to get infected to some extent, especially if the bird is scratching it, of course. It will need brand name plain Neosporin or an ophthalmic ointment. The only ohter thing that comes to mind (my mind, anyway) is favus. Perhaps you could find some good pics of it. It is fungal and I understand responds to athlete's foot type ointments/creams.

I hope you get this sorted out soon -- and welcome to our forum!
