up at the top in the dark blue bar you should see a link in white text that says uploads....thats where ya go to uplad pics, and then it provides and img source code for you to use to insert in your post...

anyways, I am finishing them up this weekend...i had a couple lucky finds this weekend, and the one i intend on using until they are big enough to go in the tractor is made out of a huge rubbermade container...

I also got lucky when we got our new hme, the previous owners had left a very large wooden dog house out back, tin roof included, and insulated

...it isnt VERY llarge though. so that is probably gonna be converted into the tractor...

This weekend is crunch time for finishing the projects, will try to post pics as soon sa they are done though!

Yeah!!! Thank you!!!

Truth is, I set up my 'temporary' brooder because I just HAVE to be doing something chicken. I think the people at the Feed store think I am a bit loony, gushing about my new chicks.... I know what you mean about crunch time, we have to get our coop finished too....my Son is helping me get it done this weekend if it doesn't rain.

yeah, we are expecting rain and snow his weekend on top of it

I have recruited a friend with a healthy supply of power tools to help this weekend, and If I have to, I will assemble piece by piece in my shed! In exchange for her help, she gets to call one of the chicks hers

.

We have even went as far to scheme their names, which we are aiming to all be from Harry Potter. LOL!

LOL! That's awesome....

My neighbors are excited too, they want to be part of the "Armageddon Chicken Ranch" named by my Hubby. I guess I'll have to come up with some themed names as well. Right now I call them my ladies and my cluck clucks...because, in my heart, they are already HERE.

The folks at the closest feed store to my house have gotten to know me pretty well, and I hope their smiles upon my entrance are not just due to amusement. I go there on my lunch break at least once a week, just to browse!! They even know I bought chicks last October from a different feed store because THEY had stopped offering them. (I also USUALLY buy my feed and bedding litter from the more distant store because the prices are better. And THAT store has also gotten pretty familiar with me, too. Except I think they're just nice to all their customers; they've only seen me about five times.) The closest store has seen me at least once a week since LAST MAY. I usually buy mealworms there.

And I know they're amused by all my questions, but have been very, very helpful and informative.

I have 10 ordered, they lady at the hatchery was really nice, she said I could pick out the ones I wanted when I got there, I live close enough to pick them up. I ordered 10 just in case a couple don't make it....we'll keep our fingers crossed. I have images of us putting together our coops in sheds and on patios in cold rainy snowy weather.....beeeming with happiness!!! LOL!
