Chickens developing Slow Growing Disease/Sickeness and Dieing

I'm sorry you are having to go through this.
I agree with @Eggcessive hopefully a necropsy will give you more information so you can successfully treat your existing flock, or at least know what the cause is, which will help ease your mind.

The hen died during the night. I washed her off with cold water, put her in a paper bag, ice packed bottom of box, lined with bubble wrap, separated in the middle, and she is settled down on top. Ready to go have a Necropsy done. Will post when I get results. Thanks.

I'm sorry for your loss

I'm still battling with this unknown disease. When I think everything is going great then another death happens. & not necessarily with all the symptoms as above. Yesterday noticed my beautiful golden cuckoo Marian Was opening beak routinely, puffed up every so often, closing eyes in a corner away from the flock. I'm currently trying on one of my 3 month old is poly-e-Visol, silenium, vit E, & vet RX. To see if it is just a lack of vitamins in their diet. No evidence of parasites on the body, poop good, just seems underweight.not sure if all young hens are thin.?

Were you able to get necropsy results?

Have you treated for Cocci by any chance?

Dosage for Cocci is 1 1/2 teaspoons Corid powder per gallon or 2 teaspoons of 9.6% Corid liquid per gallon
Give for 5-7 days - make sure this is the ONLY water available during that time period. Mix a fresh batch at least once a day.

Video mid page, shown in younger chicks, but can affect older birds under certain conditions - video is sad so view with your discretion.
