I have free range chickens and I have a couple cats that I would like to leave mostly outdoors for the warmer season. I put their food and water out and then the chickens find it every time and devour it leaving nothing for the cats. Chickens can get into pretty small spaces an fly up pretty high, occasionally I even see them up on the rooftops. So I wonder if anyone else has figured out a solution for this issue? Thanks!!

I don't know if this can work for you, but my aunt has two outdoor cats and she puts their food inside the barn with the horses, in an empty horse stall, with the door shut. The cats know where the food is, so they jump up on top of the barn door and inside, and walk through the barn and jump into the stall. She also used to put it in the hay loft. You could just do trial & error and see if there is one spot the chickens don't find.
