Chickens do the darndest things

My BO walks around me and pecks and digs at me with her beak. And she won't stop. She gets my ankles, my hips and my arms. I think she thinks I'm full of seeds and if she pecks at me hard enough, that seeds will just come pouring out of the hole she makes.

I'll usually pick her up when I can't take it anymore but then she's inspecting my face, my shoulders. She bit my earlobe the other day. OUCH!!! And she's nailed me in the eye before.

Silly Girl

so many things!!!

- I had a rir pullet named lady who was spoiled. She would jump onto my shoulder and borrow in my hair when she was little. As she got older, we never pushed her away (we pitied her bc she was the runt) and so at 7 months, she would still try to do it; only now she was so big, that you'd be hit in the face with a wing for her to get there.

- The chickens recognize my car. They often try to follow me when i leave for work (i have to walk them to the coop so that they wont jump in the car).

-They are escape/strategy masters. They will circle the garden and study it to find a way in. they found a way past 5 foot fences!

- They want everything that i have. I come out of the house with strawberries, i give them strawberries and take one for myself... they ignore the ones that i gave them and want mine. They have even drank my coffee before!!!

our little Sebright chick attacks the bubbles in the waterer when ever we put it back in... and I mean attacks... doesn't even get that enthusiastic about bugs....

Thats crazy! My ducks and geese liked singing too... they would all calm down and get situated for sleeping and doze off... weird.

I tried singing to them again today and no kidding - my little Sultans, who are about four weeks old, literally starting leaning their heads over on each other and falling asleep standing up. It was so weird. One of them burrowed under the ones that were asleep on their feet - and they were all dozing off.

I'm just glad I never chose singing as a career - this is NOT the kind of reaction you would want from an audience! ha

What a GOOD puppy! That was cute!

She is a good girl. I have 9 & 10 month gals and these "little" ones are 10 weeks old. They are always running to her when the "big" girls "scold" them. Miley is very tolerant of them.
