Chickens/Dogs

I live in a very ruralish area, and when my chicks are old enough I want to let them out to ramble around. However there are a few dogs that run around on my street, and I am afraid of the chickens response to the dogs. I talked to my neighbor and he said he had no troubles with the dogs getting his chickens, but I also chatted with my neighbor down the road, and they have lost a ton of chickens to these dogs. Neither of my neighbors have a fence. What should I do??

Who's dogs are they? Find the owner and let them know how you feel.

If that doesn't work, or if they're strays, don't let your birds out of their

runs when your not around to watch them. If the dogs are strays, animal

control is an option. If people are actually losing birds to these dogs,

they gotta go, or somone should speak to who cares for them.
