We have about 10 girls in a coop and they began pecking one hen enough to draw blood and went crazy attacking her.

We pulled her from the coop, isolated her and she is doing well. My question is about the viability of getting her back into the group. We planned to add her similar to adding new chickens, where we set an isolated area next to the main coop and after several days, introduce her back into the flock, maybe in the PM when the hens are settled down.

    Any other suggestions?

Peepers for everybody! No...seriously, if I had a problem with vicious hens, which I most likely will in the future, they'll all be outfitted with no peck peepers. [IMG]
